THE MEMBERS' MEETING APPROVES THE 2019 FINAL BUDGET, 2020 BUDGET, AMENDMENTS TO THE BYLAWS (AND RESOLUTIONS) AND RULES OF PROCEDURE OF THE CONSORZIO TUTELA VINI OLTREPÒ PAVESE
July 23, 2020, Broni (PV ) - The Members' Meeting of Consorzio The Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese convened on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 4 p.m. (in second call), at the Enoteca Regionale della Lombardia in via Cassino Po,2 in Broni (PV) approved the 2019 Final Financial Statements after the reports of the Board of Directors on the activities carried out and the Board of Auditors.
The Shareholders' Meeting approved the 2020 Budget and the Rules of Procedure. For the extraordinary part, the Shareholders' Meeting unanimously approved the amendments to the Articles of Association and the related resolutions. The draft of the amended Articles of Association and the Rules of Procedure were recently approved by the relevant Ministry.
In her report, President Gilda Fugazza touched on these points by addressing the Assembly of Members:
"Today we have to say thank you to the Team work that has led the Regione Lombardia with the Councillor Fabio Rolfi and all his staff also that of Ersaf directed by Massimo Ornaghi - and this thank you is not so obvious. Among the things not taken for granted, thanks also and above all to the collaboration of the member companies, old and new, which made it possible to arrive at the modification of the Statute and recalibrate the famous weights in the assembly. Objective achieved. Only a strong assembly, represented in a balanced way - aware of the entire wine chain - can win the challenges of today and tomorrow".
"Objectives: first of all, the common work for the enhancement of the product and the territory as a positive impact on individual companies: it must be a mantra, I care about it as if it were my mission. And precisely because I feel it is mine, this mission becomes ours. In recent months I have followed the way the members' companies communicate with greater attention and I am pleased to say that today we are communicating in an identity-based way: we will have to go on like this even more, united because it would be a mistake to disperse energy into messages that do not represent the territory".
"From the vineyard to the chalice and from the chalice to the restaurant menus: collective work involves everyone. Wine bars, bars, tour operators, incoming portals, wine tourism, a strategic element for the promotion of the wine sector. This is a very important objective".
"The promotion will be directed to the product bottle but also to the places, culture and food of the territory aggregation and history as I said before that nobody can invent. We have it. Above all, we must also take the wines outside the Oltrepò to Italy. Reconquer the important squares of the wine world like Rome and Milan. We can only do this with promotion, communication, small or large events".
"We also have to be strategists and a bit philosophers: having more knowledge, broadening our views, listening and looking at what others are doing helps us to be more creative: thus creating more consumption and more consumption creates more desire for knowledge.
"The strategies are only aimed at a more evolved future, even if always sustainable: ok to projects for a quality agriculture that exploits innovation - which becomes economic livelihood - for a careful sustainability, territoriality and enhancement of human capital".
"If innovation helps us to be faster, more precise and more punctual - numerical above all - we will have more control over the quality and sustainability of our wine world. From the vineyard to the goblet to the media to tourist or consumer customers - or both - who are opening up to an experience in Oltrepò, an area where they can return more and more often and give credit".
