The tour of the United States organised by Slow Wine Guide with Slow Wine USA gets underway and at Pier 27 overlooking San Francisco Bay - the first of five stops on the programme - buyers and journalists arrive to taste and learn about the excellence of Italian wines.

Among them a large representation of the Denominations dell’Oltrepò Pavese, presented for tasting in the classic walk-around tasting formula, by Consorzio Tutela Vini OP, at the first international (and on the other side of the world) wine outing to promote in the United States the multifaceted quality of a territory where wine tells a very long story and a present made up of new, unprejudiced awareness of this rich and unique cluster of Lombardy.

These are the companies in the tasting in San Francisco (Jan. 24, 2022) "representing" the Denominations: Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico DOCG, Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico DOCG Rosé, Pinot nero dell’Oltrepò Pavese Doc, Oltrepò Pavese Doc Riesling , Bonarda dell’Oltrepò Pavese Doc, Oltrepò Pavese Pinot grigio doc , Sangue di Giuda dell’Oltrepò Pavese Doc, Buttafuoco dell’Oltrepò Pavese Doc.
