The Tre Bicchieri World Tour makes a stop in Los Angeles and San Francisco, with a sell-out. Space was given to masterclasses with the Consortia and collaboration with Unione Italiana Vini in a market that is worth over 1.6 billion euros for Italy. Sparkling wines were the best performers, up +34%.

ITALY IN A NUTSHELL Great turnout for tastings open to the public. In Los Angeles, attendance was even higher than two years ago, before the pandemic. The master classes were also sold out: two in Los Angeles and four in San Francisco. One was common to both cities: "Italy in a nutshell" was the title, to represent "in nuce" the way of Italian wine.

We open with bubbles, both classic method and Italian (with Oltrepò Pavese and Valdobbiadene leading the way), then still whites from Friuli, Orvieto and finally reds from Valpolicella and Puglia, not forgetting a fascinating native Piedmontese grape, Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato.

MASTERCLASSES WITH THE CONSORTIUMS The other masterclasses were organized with the invaluable support of the Consortia: in Los Angeles, Oltrepò Pavese was the protagonist through a course that started from Metodo Classico and arrived at still wines: Pinot Nero, but also Buttafuoco and Bonarda. Introducing the tasting was Carlo Veronese, the director of Consorzio wines dell’Oltrepò.
