Oltrepò Terra di Pinot Nero meets AIS Milan. Monday, February 13, 2023, from 3:30 pm at The Westin Palace Hotel in Milan, Piazza della Repubblica 20. In collaboration with Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese, a large tasting desk dedicated to the different expressions of one of the noblest grape varieties on the planet: Pinot nero, so historic in Oltrepò Pavese.

The most important vineyard dedicated to Pinot nero in Italy, the largest in Europe after the French ones in Burgundy and Champagne, is located in Oltrepò Pavese. More than 3,000 hectares, in fact, are reserved for the cultivation of this noble grape variety that finds great expression especially in Valle Versa, Valle Scuropasso and high Valle Coppa.

The tasting desk on Monday, February 13, organized by AIS Milano, in collaboration with the Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese, is part of a larger project to promote the Pinot Nero -based wines of the territory dell’Oltrepò Pavese, a historic and important viticultural area south of Milan at the intersection of 4 regions and provinces. It is an activity carried out with the contribution of MASAF that features wines of the types Oltrepò Pavese DOCG Metodo Classico Pinot Nero, Oltrepò Pavese DOCG Metodo Classico Pinot Nero Rosé, Pinot Nero Dell’Oltrepò Pavese DOC (also Riserva).

The large tasting counter features the following companies:

At the same time, two masterclasses will be held, led by journalist Luciano Ferraro and sommelier Bruno Ferrari, one dedicated to Metodo Classico sparkling wines from Pinot nero grapes and one to still wines from Pinot Nero grapes vinified in red
