The event dedicated to the two expressions of Pinot nero, organized by the Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese thanks to a promotion and communication action co-financed by the PSR Regione Lombardia
34 virtuous companies will present theOltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico DOCG and the Pinot nero dell’Oltrepò Pavese DOC. At the Antica Tenuta Pegazzera in Casteggio (Pavia), preparations are in full swing for the third edition of "Oltrepò-Terra di Pinot Nero, a territory, a vine, two excellences," scheduled for Monday, Sept. 25.
The event, conceived by a group of virtuous wineries in the area, is organized by the Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese, will this year involve 34 wineries that will bring their expressions of Pinot nero, declined in Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico DOCG and Pinot nero dell’Oltrepò Pavese DOC.
Unity and shared intentions are the starting point for this important event of Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese, and we are happy to see in this third edition a very broad participation of the entire supply chain: from small to medium-sized companies, up to the two large cooperatives in the area - explains Director Carlo Veronese. In Oltrepò 75% of Italian Pinot Nero is produced and it is one of the most important areas worldwide. This appointment has become a fundamental moment to take stock together of two pivotal appellations, which are experiencing strong growth in both quality and numbers.
During the event, organized by the Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese, the wineries will present their excellences during a walk around tasting aimed at restaurateurs, wine merchants, agents and sommeliers, as well as a parterre of national and international journalists. A selection of labels will also be presented during two in-depth masterclasses led by two wine communicators: Jacopo Cossater for the tasting dedicated toOltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico DOCG, and Filippo Bartolotta for the one addressed to the Pinot nero dell’Oltrepò Pavese DOC.
Adds Veronese: Oltrepò Terra di Pinot Nero comes at the end of a pivotal year for communication, which has seen Consorzio committed to the enhancement of the area's appellations through numerous projects. This event is co-financed by the RDP Regione Lombardia.
