After the first part of the U.S. Tour that featured several tasting events, from storytelling to food pairing, in three U.S. states, with stops in New York City, Boston-Cambridge and Chicago (Birch Road Club), the promotional trip for the Oltrepò Pavese Wine Denominations faces the Simply Italian Great Wines U.S., a double event for the general public in the industry.
Here, then, is the Simply Italian Great Wines U.S. Tour 2023. Coinciding with the October 2023 U.S. Tour for Oltrepò Pavese Denominations, after double dates in NYC, Boston-Cambridge and Chicago's Birch Road Club the "Simply Tour" also includes a stop in Los Angeles (Oct. 14 - Andaz West Hollywood).
In Chicago, at the Fairmont Millennium Park, on Tuesday, October 10, a great success for the made-in Oltrepò Pavese tasting desk (20 companies represented) and a "Tasting Oltrepò" masterclass led by Carlo Veronese, director of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese who commented:
I am very satisfied, not only with the event in general as much as with the in-depth seminar dedicated to Oltrepò Pavese: where I can only say that it was a wonderful masterclass, full of enthusiasm and rich in participation with tasters very interested in learning about the history of our territory and our wines. The masterclass was enriched by the presence of Master Sommelier Jim Bube, who did not stop only at the technical account of the wines but involved everyone by going further, talking about the possible pairings with food. Our products are proving to be more and more curious and gastronomic, suitable to entertain food and wine enthusiasts, professional and not. Thursday the 12th will be the turn of Los Angeles.
The two events tagged Simply Italian Great Wines, are conceived by IEM - International Exhibition Management to enhance Italian oenology in the world, which returns to one of the markets of strong interest for Italian wine: the American one, the first market in the world by consumption. As in previous editions, the fourteenth edition of Simply after Chicago (October 10) reaches Los Angeles (October 12) and sees the participation of our Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese.
The two Simply Italian events are organized to enable Italian producers to meet directly with local professionals (importers, sommeliers, ho.re.ca. channel) and the trade press, fostering business relationships. The primary aim is to enhance and communicate the value of Italian wine, giving visibility to the leading wineries, thanks to a rich program of seminars, guided tastings and workshops.
