In the evocative setting of Wine in Venice 2024, to be held from January 20 to 23, the Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese will be a protagonist alongside the other Lombard Consortia, united under the aegis of Ascovilo, for the walk around tasting dedicated to wine excellence.

This year's edition of Wine In Venice is distinguished by an extended duration to four days, one day longer than in 2023, proudly positioning itself in the Venice Calendar of Major Events since 2024. This recognition equates it with historically significant events such as the Boat Show, Carnival and the Film Festival.

The exponential growth in prestige of Wine In Venice can be attributed to the constant elevation of the quality of content and values intrinsic to the event with a great focus on the enhancement of Italian Denominations. The 2024 program, which can be viewed on the official website https://wineinvenice.com/ , promises to exceed all expectations, offering an unforgettable experience for wine and culture enthusiasts.

Venice opens the doors of some of its most prestigious and symbolic locations, such as the Scuola Grande della Misericordia welcoming a unique event with a four-day main core full of moments of discussion, tastings, presentations and food for thought to outline the decisive next steps for the sector, but which is also developing numerous side events spread over the preceding weeks.

Oltrepò Pavese will make a significant contribution to this prestigious setting, offering wine enthusiasts and experts present in Venice the opportunity to taste a rich assortment of labels from various companies representing the Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) dell’Oltrepò Pavese and the Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita ( DOCG ) dell’Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico. This will contribute to a complete and appreciated representation of the territory increasingly appreciated around the Italy of good wine and abroad. For the Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese, this is a significant milestone and the first event of the year dedicated to tasting and promotion, and will feature director Carlo Veronese.

Ascovilo is the association that brings together the Lombard Consortia for the protection and promotion of DOCG, DOC and IGT wines from Regione Lombardia. It is the compass that guides us from the mineral and long-lived whites of Lugana, to the sparkling wines of Metodo Classico dell’Oltrepò, from the rosés of Lake Garda to the alpine reds of Valtellina. A path that of Ascovilo is not very simple - explains Giovanna Prandini president of the Association - we want to bring the wines of Lombardy to be protagonists.

Lombardy will amaze with its thousands of flavors, and Wine in Venice says it is honored to host the excellences of this region for an unforgettable walk around tasting on the day of January 23 with more than 40 wineries that will take us to discover the excellence of Lombardy's wines.
